At Pentecost, Christ's friends—awaiting it—

This hymn is based on the events of Pentecost as recorded in Acts 2,
as the Holy Spirit came to the disciples gathered in Jersusalem, and
the Church began its life. We have two versions of this hymn, with this one emphasizing the worldwide nature of Christ's church. (For our version that focuses more on congregations or individuals, click here.)

The tune for this is ENGELBERG by Charles V. Stanford (1852-1924), so you can use accompaniments which you may already have. (Please note that the rhythm changes we made in our accompaniments for Version A do not fit this set of words as well as the original ENGELBERG.)
